Advanta was formed in 2004 as a result of years of observing that too many healthcare organizations were experiencing the “great report, but disappointing execution” from their consulting partners. We heard from too many client executives that the ideas for transforming their organizations were very sound, but they always had difficulty making those ideas operational and delivering tangible business results. Advanta was and continues to be a healthcare organization’s partner with one deliverable – designing, building and implementing business solutions that deliver tangible benefits. Our rallying call is “get it done!” Advanta professionals function in a similar manner as “a general contractor” – the identification and organization of work and resources to complete a program, project, operational redesign, system implementation or large-scale transformation project successfully.
Bill Sheats, our Founder, has over 30 years of experience in the healthcare and government sectors, working with private and public organizations, to drive change, both small and large. He continues to play a very active role driving successful change efforts with our clients. He works with Advanta’s program directors who have similar years of experience in managing programs and projects to deliver results.
Bill has a Master’s in Public Health in Health Services Administration from the University of Pittsburgh. During his career, he has worked for a range of companies, including Coopers and Lybrand, the Voluntary Hospitals of America, First Consulting Group and Blue Shield of California.
